All Empires Fall

This piece is a favorite one of mine. This piece pays partial homage to the artist Pierre-Antoine Demachy who was a french artist in the 17th century. He originally painted a portion of what you see. (The Roman ruins) I wanted to pay homage by recreating this piece but with a modern twist.
This piece carries a loud quote we’ve all heard, “all empires fall”. This statement reigns true when we examine the current empire today. In the back is the capitol. A perfect symbol of the current empire, while the past empire lays in the forefront. It’s a visual representation of past and present failures of man when corruption Metastasizes in the state. All empires fall.
